Lambrusco is the name of both a red wine grape and an Italian wine made principally from the grape.
The grapes and the wine, for IGT version too, originate from three provinces in Emilia-Romagna (Parma, Reggio Emilia & Modena), so that it is called Lambrusco IGT Emilia and one in Lombardy (Mantua or Mantova), & it’s called Lambrusco IGT Prov. Mantova/Mantua.
Lambrusco IGT is made in red, white & rosé versions and it’s both Lambrusco amabile or Lambrusco dry.
Lambrusco IGT is a sparkling wine with notes of strawberry & cherry & it is the ideal companion for the typical dishes from “Pianura Padana”, such as Salami, bolliti & cotechino.
Lambrusco IGT is, at present, one of the best sold Italian wines all around the world. Lambrusco wine is light in alcohol & easy to drink.
